About the Author. Greg Martins
Early Life and Interests
Greg Martins grew up in Holliston, Massachusetts, a beautiful New England town located 30 miles southwest of Boston. Throughout high school, Greg enjoyed playing guitar, jogging, learning karate, and exploring metaphysical topics such as meditation, dreams, out-of-body travel, the human energy field, and the existence of extraterrestrials and Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs).
Academic and Professional Beginnings
Engineering Aspirations and Education
Graduating from Holliston High School in 1979 with an aptitude for math and science, Greg enrolled in the Aeronautical Engineering program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. Motivated to work for NASA from age 12, Greg saw his dream materialize when he was accepted into the highly competitive intern program at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center at the start of his senior year of college.
Completing two four-month internships in 1983, Greg graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering in May 1984 and began working for NASA Goddard full time.
Early NASA Career
The first 13 years of Greg’s career at NASA focused on the mechanical development of Space Shuttle payloads. Often serving as the lead mechanical engineer, these science-oriented payloads he helped design were flown in Goddard’s low-cost, highly successful Spartan, Get-Away-Special, and Hitch Hiker programs.
Spiritual Path and Metaphysical Exploration
Native American Spirituality
To further expand his spiritual awareness after college, Greg pursued his affinity for Native American mysticism and began his lifelong involvement in Lakota Native American spirituality and ceremonial ways in 1985.
Working with the Akashic Records
Inspired by his deep-rooted interest in metaphysics, Greg began working with the Akashic Records in 1993—a non-physical library holding a record of every person and event in history. The Akashic Records are the primary source for Greg’s information on clients’ extraterrestrial connections, home star systems, Oversouls, and health conditions, as presented in his book.
Career Growth and Systems Engineering
SEED Program at NASA
Mid-career in 2002, Greg was accepted into Goddard’s competitive two-year Systems Engineering Education Development (SEED) program and graduated the following year. This program immersed students in hands-on projects in engineering disciplines outside their field of expertise. Coupled with project leadership training, it prepared participants to lead NASA projects as systems engineers.
Leading NASA Teams
In the years that followed, Greg applied his systems engineering training within the Mechanical Engineering Branch at NASA Goddard, where he led teams in developing deployable mechanical systems such as booms, solar arrays, and doors for satellites.
Teaching, Music, and Creative Work
Consciousness and Energy Work
Greg’s exploration of higher consciousness and other dimensions of reality has provided him with many enlightening experiences and practical tools for healthy living. He has created and led workshops where he teaches participants his methods for clearing the human energy field and using the mind to move energy. He has also had many fully conscious Out-of-Body Experiences (OBEs), confirming the existence of other dimensions and our consciousness’s ability to function outside the body.
Musical Projects
Greg released a Compact Disc (CD) of original music in 2000 titled Live Your Passion, followed by Star Gazer in 2011. He continues to enjoy playing guitar and performs at local venues.
Life in Sarasota and New Endeavors
After 35 years of service, Greg retired from NASA in 2018 and moved to Sarasota, Florida. To share his knowledge and insights with a broader audience, he published his first book, Star Journey Home: Connect with your Home Planet and Oversoul, in 2025.
