About the Author Greg Martins

Greg Martins grew up in Holliston, Massachusetts, a beautiful New England town located 30 miles southwest of Boston. Throughout high school Greg enjoyed playing guitar, jogging, Uechi Ryu karate, and exploring metaphysical topics such as meditation, dreams, out-of-body travel, the human energy field, and the existence of extraterrestrials and Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs).

Graduating from Holliston High School in 1979 with an aptitude for math and science, Greg enrolled in the Aeronautical Engineering program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. Motivated to work for NASA from age 12, Greg saw his dream materialize when he was accepted into the highly competitive intern program at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center at the start of his senior year of college. Completing two four-month internships in 1983, Greg graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering in May, 1984 and began working for NASA Goddard full time.

The first 13 years of Greg’s career at NASA focused on the mechanical development of Space Shuttle payloads. Often serving as the lead mechanical engineer, these science-oriented payloads were flown in Goddard’s low cost, highly successful Spartan, Get-Away-Special, and Hitch Hiker programs.

Greg was accepted into Goddard’s competitive two-year Systems Engineering Education Development (SEED) program in 2002, and he graduated the following year. This program emersed students in hands-on projects in engineering disciplines unrelated to their field of expertise. Coupled with training in project leadership, the program provided students with the real-life experience and expertise needed to lead NASA projects as systems engineers.

In the years that followed, Greg applied his SEED training within the Mechanical Engineering Branch at NASA Goddard, where he primarily focused on leading teams of people in developing deployable mechanical systems, such as booms, solar arrays, and doors, for satellites.

Throughout Greg’s NASA career, he continued playing guitar and enjoyed performing at local venues. Greg released a compact disk (CD) of original music in 2000 called Live Your Passion and released a second CD in 2010 called Star Gazer.

Greg began working with the Akashic Records in 1990: a non-physical library holding a record of every person and event in history. The Akashic Records are the primary source for Greg’s information on home planets, home star systems and Oversouls, as presented in his book.

To further expand his spiritual awareness after college, Greg pursued his affinity for Native American mysticism and began his lifelong involvement in Lakota Native American spirituality and ceremonial ways in 1985.
Greg’s exploration of higher consciousness, other dimensions of reality, and the realm of extraterrestrials has provided him with many enlightening experiences and practical tools for healthy living. As a result, Greg created and led eight-week workshops in which he taught participants his many methods for clearing the human energy field using the mind to move energy. He has also developed his intuitive senses to aid in everyday life and assist others with questions requiring an intuitive. In addition, Greg has had many fully conscious Out-of-Body Experiences (OBEs), confirming the existence of other dimensions and our consciousness’ ability to function while outside the body.

After 35 years of service, Greg retired from NASA in 2018 and moved to Sarasota, Florida, where he currently lives. To share his knowledge and insights with a broader audience, he published his inspiring first book, Star Journey Home: Connect with your Home Planet and Oversoul in 2025.
